Welcoming the 97th National FFA Convention to Keystone

Nov 04, 2024

As Indianapolis hosted the 97th National FFA Convention, Keystone Cooperative continued our strong focus on supporting rural communities by welcoming FFA Chapters from our multi-state footprint into the cooperate office. This one-day event focused on all aspects of the business, contributing to the overall experience of the National FFA Convention for over 200 FFA members and advisors.

FFA members had the opportunity to hear from a diverse panel of employees about Keystone career opportunities. Students asked important questions such as daily responsibilities, challenges, and the skills necessary for success. Employees shared experiences, providing insights into their career journeys, and ultimately sparking interest in Keystone’s SEED program.

The second rotation at the corporate office took FFA members outside to discuss grain entrapment safety. Historically, Indiana has the most grain entrapment cases. To prevent this, Keystone focuses on educating communities about the step-by-step process of using safety equipment. With the FFA members in town, we took advantage of the captive audience and educated them about lifesaving safety procedures and even had a few volunteers go through the process of being rescued!

Keystone is a proud supporter of the national blue and corn gold organization and enjoyed opening the office to interact with FFA members and advisors—all important contributors to the future of agriculture!
