Keystone Cooperative today announced a $2,500 donation to Feeding America West Michigan, furthering efforts to address food insecurity and support families in need across the region. Feeding America West Michigan serves communities throughout West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, partnering with local food pantries, soup kitchens, and other agencies to provide access to nutritious food.

This contribution reflects Keystone’s continued commitment to strengthening the communities where its employees live and work, and to supporting organizations that provide essential resources to individuals and families facing hardship.

“At Keystone, supporting our communities means working alongside trusted partners to make a meaningful difference,” said Kevin Still, President and CEO of Keystone. “Feeding America West Michigan is doing essential work to connect families with the resources they need, and we’re honored to play a small part in advancing that mission.”

This gift is part of Keystone’s ongoing efforts to address food insecurity, following a $2,500 donation to Shared Harvest Foodbank in Ohio earlier this year and the contribution of more than 2,000 pounds of pork to regional food banks during the holiday season.

“Thanks to the generous support of the Keystone Cooperative, families across West Michigan will have greater access to nutritious food,” said Mary Slafkosky, Sr. Manager of Donor Engagement, Feeding America West Michigan. “Their $2,500 gift will provide 10,000 meals to neighbors in need.”

Feeding America West Michigan works to alleviate hunger by sourcing and distributing food to a wide network of partner agencies, ensuring resources reach those who need them most. As food insecurity remains a challenge for many households, support from community partners is essential to sustaining these efforts.

“Food insecurity continues to impact families in every community,” said Lindsay Sankey, Director of Public Relations at Keystone. “Supporting organizations like Feeding America West Michigan is one way we can help make a meaningful difference. We’re proud to contribute to their work and to help ensure more families have access to reliable, nutritious food.”
