Prioritizing Grain Safety Every Week of the Year

Mar 29, 2024

It’s National Stand Up 4 Grain Safety Week and we all have a part to play in practicing safety on the farm. Grain safety incidents occur every year, causing tragic fatalities that deeply scar our families, our employee teams and our  communities for decades to come.

By raising awareness of the dangers and creating cultures of safety with our on-farm teams, we can make a difference and prevent unnecessary injuries and tragic deaths.

Keystone Cooperative remains committed to on-farm safety every day of the year. The cooperative has donated dozens of grain rescue tubes (and pieces of extraction equipment such as rope rescue sets and augers) throughout our territory to ensure first responders are equipped with life-saving apparatus.

We’ve also facilitated trainings with more than 100 fire departments and 700+ first responders, including firemen, sheriff departments, emergency management and state patrols. Keeping tools and trainings in the hands of first responders is vital when tragedy strikes.
