Land O’Lakes, Inc. donated nearly 40,000 pounds of LAND O LAKES® Macaroni & Cheese to Food Finders Food Bank, Inc. through the Land O’Lakes First Run Program.

The First Run Program has donated over 7.4 million pounds of product since it was established in 2010. The program is committed to donating truckloads of fresh product year-round, made specifically for food banks to help alleviate hunger across the United States.

"As a farmer-owned cooperative, Land O'Lakes, Inc is deeply committed to hunger relief. This effort begins locally in the communities that our members and employees call home, many of them rural." said Sheilah Stewart, SVP & General Counsel, Land O’Lakes, Inc. "We are honored to help our Feeding America food bank partners get fresh, nutritious food directly to the families who need it most."

Additionally, Land O’Lakes member-owner Keystone Cooperative, Inc. made a $3,000 donation to Food Finders Food Bank in support of local food security, which will be matched by the Land O’Lakes Foundation. Scott Logue, EVP & COO of Keystone, and Land O’Lakes Board of Directors member, Aaron Johnson, visited the food bank in recognition of these donations.

“Food Finders is thankful for Land O’Lakes’ food donation and Keystone’s monetary donation to combat food insecurity across our 16-county service area – this truly could not come at a better time. A community where all people have access to nutritious food is a safe, healthy community, and every contribution matters,” said Kier Crites Muller, President/CEO of Food Finders Food Bank.

“Keystone, alongside Land O’Lakes, plays a vital role in ensuring the world’s safest and most abundant food supply. There is no reason our neighbors should go hungry. This partnership is a powerful example of what cooperatives can achieve when working together—serving our customers and strengthening our local communities,” said Scott Logue, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Keystone.
