This merger will be effective March 1, 2024. We recognize that this transition may prompt questions, which is why we have compiled a comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions page to address any concerns you may have.
IS THIS A MERGER OR ACQUISITION BY EITHER COOPERATIVE?

This is a merger between Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance Cooperative, Inc. who have mutually decided to join forces. Both are strong cooperatives that bring value and will be well represented in the new organization.  

WHEN WILL THE MERGER TAKE PLACE?

It will be finalized on March 1, 2024 and for tax and accounting purposes will be retroactive to Sept. 1, 2023.  


WILL THE COOPERATIVE HAVE A NEW NAME?

The boards of directors for both companies have chosen to name the new organization: Keystone Cooperative.

WHAT WILL THE LEADERSHIP OF THE NEW COOPERATIVE LOOK LIKE?

Kevin Still is the President & Chief Executive Officer and Jeff Troike & Scott Logue will serve as Executive Vice Presidents.

WHERE WILL THE HEADQUARTERS BE?

The new cooperative is headquartered out of Indianapolis, IN. We will continue to have operations and staff at multiple sites within the expanded footprint to allow for effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

HOW WILL SHAREHOLDER EQUITY BE HANDLED AFTER THE MERGER?

All existing patron equities in either Ceres Solutions or Co-Alliance shall transfer on a dollar-for-dollar basis into the new cooperative.

HOW WILL MY PATRONAGE BE AFFECTED?

Patronage levels are anticipated to remain strong & consistent with past practices. Patronage going forward will be determined by the new Keystone Board of Directors.

HOW WILL THIS IMPACT MY LOCAL CO-OP TEAM?

The natural geographic fit of Ceres Solutions, Co-Alliance, & Endeavor should provide very little disruption to our locations and field staff serving you. Our mutual expectation is for the merger to provide an improved customer experience moving forward.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY EXISTING ORDERS, CONTRACTS, PRICING, QUOTES, ETC?

All existing business agreements will be honored under the terms of those agreements. In a merger all assets, liabilities and contractual responsibilities transfer into the new company.  

WHO REPRESENTS ME IN THE NEW COOPERATIVE?

WHERE WILL I SEE A NAME CHANGE?

You will now see Keystone Cooperative on all statements, tickets and envelopes. Additionally, your bank statement will now read Keystone Cooperative. Our local teams will transition to the Keystone brand, along with our signage and equipment.

HOW WILL MY DIGITAL PLATFORM CHANGE? (CO-ALLIANCE CONNECT, CERES ACCESS, ENDEAVOR ENGAGE)

Beginning March 1, Ceres Access, Co-Alliance Connect and Endeavor Engage will be rebranded to represent Keystone Cooperative. Remain assured, your digital experience will remain the same. These platforms will still be the go-to digital spot to view statements, pay invoices and manage business through the same app you have already downloaded.
